NEW PISÃO VILLAGE PROJECT

Geology & Geotechnics, Buildings, Urban Infrastructure and Sanitation, Urban and Regional planning

The New Village of Pisão Project, in the municipality of Crato, aims to construct a new settlement for the resettlement of the population of the Pisão Village, which will be submerged by the reservoir of the future Pisão Dam. The project includes the Detailed Plan, land subdivision, architectural and engineering designs for the buildings, and infrastructure design for the new village.

The project aims to design and implement a new village that ensures the social, cultural, and economic continuity of the existing community, while simultaneously adapting to contemporary standards of quality of life, sustainability, and territorial integration.

The project includes the definition of the urban structure, housing areas, equipment and infrastructure networks, and public and residential buildings, as well as the creation of public spaces that reflect the identity and memory of the original village. Special attention is given to landscape integration, environmental sustainability, and community participation throughout the planning process.

This project constitutes a strategic territorial intervention that articulates objectives of resettlement, territorial planning, and social cohesion, contributing to the broader development objectives associated with the Pisão Dam infrastructure.
