It was in the past month of June that the works for the widening of the IC20 were completed, which connects Almada to Costa da Caparica.
The widening of this complementary route, which extended over a stretch of 3.9 kilometers, between Centro Sul and FCT NOVA, in Monte da Caparica, began in October 2023. The work lasted 20 months and will improve traffic conditions (flow and safety), including access to the 25th of April Bridge.
These works were carried out by AEBT (Autoestradas Baixo Tejo), with GEOVIA participating in the detailed design and in technical assistance to the works in the areas of Geological and Geotechnical Studies and Pavements, in a partnership with SENER (General Designer).
