DETAILED PLAN OF QUINTA DE SÃO SILVESTRE - ZAITUN FARM RESORT

The Detailed Plan for Quinta de São Silvestre, “Zaitun – Farm & Resort”, developed under the Rural Land Intervention Plan (PIER) framework, covers an area of approximately 120 hectares in the municipality of Mirandela, within the Union of Parishes of Barcel, Marmelos and Valverde da Gestosa, near the boundary with the municipality of Vila Flor, about 18 km south of the municipal centre, close to the village of Valverde.

Named Zaitun Farm & Resort, the project is located along the Tua River, in an area of outstanding landscape value. The project’s significant public interest was formally recognized in 2019 by the Municipal Assembly of Mirandela.

The main objectives of the Plan are:
• Conversion of the listed building into a small boutique hotel;
• Development of an agricultural project to expand the existing olive grove, in a region known for high-quality olive oil production;
• Creation of the first Olive Oil Therapy SPA in Portugal;
• Restaurant;
• Tourist villas.
