The Advanced Quay in Dock Nº 1 – North, with an approximate extension of 196 meters and built in 1973/74, recently entered a process of ruin, easily detectable by the sharp deformation of its crowning line, which has a maximum deflection of about 1 meter. This project foresees its complete demolition, replacing it with another quay, set back 7.50 m. At the same time, it is intended to widen the “mouth” of the adjacent Ro-Ro Ramp, to the East.
On the other hand, the Continuous Quay Wall in Dock N.º 1 - North, next to the Passenger Station, has an approximate extension of 290 meters and was dry built between 1932 and 1940, with depths of -10.00 m (CD). This project provides the construction of a new mooring structure advanced to the south of 7,50 m, in relation to its current alignment, prepared to be adapted in the future to depths of - 12,0 m (CD).
It is intended, with the realization of these two Detailed Designs simultaneously, with a single alignment of the north quay wall, the possibility of carrying out both interventions in the same Contract.
Inspection of the emerged and submerged part of the structure; Preliminary Design and Detailed Design of the necessary interventions; Technical Tender Documents.
