RECONVERSION OF QUAY 4TMS IN LNG TERMINAL

The Quay 4 in Sines Multipurpose Terminal (Quay 4 TMS) is located at the northwest end of the southern basin at Sines Port, in an area protected by the east breakwater.

The intention is to reconvert Quay 4 TMS, providing it with the necessary conditions to operate cryogenic liquefied gases, namely to operate LNG tankers with lengths up to 250 m, as well as barges used in LNG bunkering systems.

The project includes the following works:

• Relocation of the berth at quay 4 TMS, moving it 150 m to southwest to ensure safe conditions for maneuvering ships on approach to the quay;
• Construction of a platform for the installation of tanker loading arms and for the installation of barge loading hoses;
• Construction of berthing and mooring dolphins;
• Construction of mooring massifs on land for ship cables;
• Construction of pipeline conveyor support bridge connecting the existing pipeline conveyor to the new load platform.
